People often ask me what lead me to woodworking. The short answer is simple. I love making things. Especially wood things. The long answer is, well, longer.

Over the last few years, I have been gifted some high quality power tools. I've been slowly expanding my capabilities and adding to my arsenal of techniques. A few Christmases ago, I chose a cutting board for my annual gift project. The boards were beautiful, and were very well-received. They were also super fun to make. So fun, in fact, that I made several extras. I couldn't stop making. Nor did I want to.

My "Eurkea!" moment came when several people asked me if they could buy one of my extra boards. I had stumbled on a way to make my hobby self-sustaining. It's not exactly a job, but I do get to make my own hours, I stay physically active, I exercise my creative side. I really don't see a downside.

That's how Wood Nymph Art was born.

It's been about four years now. I've expanded my hobby from cutting boards only to "anything I can make well." I've made several types of beverage sampler trays, custom engraved charcuterie trays, check presenters, chess boards, and some beautiful keepsakes for my friends and family on St John USVI.

That's the story. I'm having the time of my life, and I am very grateful for it. I sincerely hope you enjoy my work, as much as I enjoy the making.
